Alarm Technician/ Project Manager:

Description: Experienced and licensed alarm installer with experience in both fire and security.  This position would also be responsible for numerous day to day project manager duties and alarm account maintenance. 

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices and related equipment in accordance to blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Occasional travel in and out of state
  • Configure and install fire & burglar alarm panels
  • Mount and install door/window contacts, sensors, and video cameras
  • Configure IP video cameras
  • Install and mount IP phone systems
  • Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, or cavity walls to designated locations
  • Program and test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, or other security features
  • Site survey job locations and provide quotes for alarm systems, equipment and labor
  • Consult with clients to assess risks and to determine security requirements
  • Assist with scheduling and managing installation teams
  • Staying current on the market
  • Assist with service, installation, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems

Preferred skills and certifications:

  • NICET fire protection certification
  • Proficient in installation and design of burglary and fir systemsbased on building codes

Required Experience and Education:

  • Valid drivers license
  • Minimum of two years fire protection experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Computer experience with excel, word, and other related software (ie cad, visio etc.)

Low voltage Cable Technician:

Description: Assist with on-site installation of voice, data and Security Systems (Cameras, Security Alarm) structured cabling systems.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work in commercial, industrial and healthcare environments
  • Label and pull cable
  • Installation of cable support pathway
  • Reading blueprints
  • Cable testing and termination
  • Assist building racks and mounting of rack equipment
  • Abide by NEC, building code, and OSHA safety standards
  • Communicate with other technicians and project managers about project progress
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times

Qualifications:

  • Good mechanical skills
  • Working knowledge of various power tools
  • PC skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry required material
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
